The OHC Mission
-Provide a preserve for a deeper and more meaningful understanding of the heritage of Oconee County for future generations;
-To gather and provide a repository of artifacts and historical information relating to the inhabitants, formation, and development of Oconee County, South Carolina;
-Provide a facility for continuing education opportunities for students, county residents and visitors to Oconee County;
-Develop a volunteer staff from the diverse cultures and backgrounds of the Oconee County population for identifying, collecting and cataloging historical items and for staffing the Center.
